New Block Hugger Headers, Tight-fit, 1955-57 Chevy, Sbc 262-400, Chrome Plated, Tri-5

This Pair of Southwest Speed Block Hugger Shorty Headers are great for close or tight fit applications. They will work for installing Small Block Chevy Engines in many different applications and are great for engine swaps where a specifically designed header is not available. These headers are Ground parallel with. 380" flanges on the cylinder head surface, and feature 1-5/8" Primary tubes with 2 1/2 collectors, complete with header bolts and gaskets and reducer bolts and gaskets. 380" flanges on the cylinder head surface, & includes a pair of 2-1/2" to 2 1/4 reducers to complete the installation. Fits angle or straight plug heads, with no spark plug or spark plug wire restrictions. Note: Refer to measurement chart below to insure headers will fit your vehicle and application. 1-5/8" primaries to the 2 1/2" Collectors. 2 1/2" to 2 1/4" reducers.

Tube Outside Diameter: 1 5/8. Reducers: 2 1/2 to 2 1/4. Due to a revised chroming process brought on by recent EPA regulations and high labor costs, today's chrome is not the quality of days gone by. Be Aware: Exhaust components which are chrome plated are now much more susceptible to blueing, blistering, peeling & corrosion. We see very few headers that do not change color once exhaust temperatures are achieved.
