Studs are superior to bolts because they provide more accurate torque since they don't twist in the threads in the block. ARP's studs are made from 8740 chrome moly steel and heat treated to 200,000 psi tensile strength before rolling the J-form threads that are 1000 percent stronger than inferior studs.
