Has had one goal in mind; to design alternator, air conditioner and power steering brackets. The 200 Series alternator brackets fit Sanden SD-508 Compressor.

Brackets position the units on top of the engine, keeping them close to the middle and as low as possible. Brackets come completely assembled with all stainless steel bolts and washers, illustrated instruction sheet, and belt size recommendations with adjusting tips. Fits early Small Block Chevy. 1/4 mild steel plate is used for strength and durability. 200 Series Early SBC A/C Bracket, Chrome. No drilling or tapping necessary. Choose between black, chrome, and raw finishes. For use with 55-68 short-style water pumps only. Not for use with Vortec cylinder heads. To protect and preserve the finish on these powdercoated or chrome plated brackets, be sure to apply a good quality such as carnauba, as needed. Bracket mounts using only the existing factory drilled holes found on the front face of the heads.

Some minor grinding or filing on the manifold may be necessary. This 200 Series bracket will work with the 1970 & later Non'Vortec/Fast Burn' type cylinder heads. "Sanden SD" style compressor brackets will fit ear-mounted Sanden SD-507, SD-508, & SD-709 style compressors with head ports (Sanden SD5H11, SD5H14, & SD7H15).

Sanden SD-507, SD-508, & SD-709 are R-12 compressors. There are R-134a compressors that are equivalent in terms of physical dimensions and compressor displacement that may be referred to by the old R-12 model number, or the new R-134a model number.
